If you're using a desktop computer with an external keyboard (like I am with my newfound love of mechanical keyboards), chances are that your keyboard is slightly tilted because you have its little legs open. These little legs are called "riser feet," and keeping them open, thereby angling your keyboard, is most likely causing you unnecessary wrist strain. If you're like me and spend most of your day in front of a computer working, this wrist strain can compound and lead to debilitating wrist pain and even cause or exacerbate carpal tunnel syndrome (in fact, there are many ways to avoid injuries from misusing technology, like using your phone too much). Once I put my riser feet down so that my keyboard could lie flat, I immediately improved my typing comfort.
