Samsung, like other manufacturers, has the Side key on its devices mapped to multiple actions: a short press-and-hold turns the screen on or off, while a double-press triggers Bixby. As such, if you want to access the power menu on your device, you'll have to press the Side key and the Volume down key simultaneously. This isn't a desirable behavior, especially if you don't use Bixby.
